WALKER EVANS (1903–1975) ‘Neighbor Jones Service’, 1936

Vintage silver print 17,1 x 22,9 cm Photographer's estate stamp with handwritten archive numbers “XXI” and “98” on the reverse, blacklight tested, the stamp was devised in 1975 by Harry Lunn who had purchased 5,500 Evans prints. Walker was too ill to sign them all so they came up with the stamp that is called the "Estate Stamp" or the "Lunn Gallery" stamp or "Lunn Archive" stamp.
