A unique prototype of the first version, fast f:2 135mm telephoto lens. The lens is marked Nikkor-H (H = Six elements), it also represents a scaled-up version of the 1.8/85 rather than a pre-production series of the later 5-element 2/135mm. The lens is also in near-mint condition, lenses showing some cleaning marks and a light haze, with a built-in tripod collar and both caps, note the blue rear cap typical for Nikon prototypes, this lens might be the only example left, especially knowing Nikon’s policy to destroy any prototypes they have made so they couldn’t end up in a competitor’s hands and taken apart to be studied. It is for sure a unique opportunity for every Nikon collector.
