This is the most impressive black paint outfit we have seen. It includes an early Leica M2 body with visible patina, still perfectly working, an early black paint / brass mount Summicron 2/5cm no.1587420 (very good optics, including a black paint cap), a very rare and sought-after black paint / brass mount Summicron 2/35mm no.1632079 (the most desirable version with all parts black painted and not partially black chromed, very good optics with only a few marks on the front element, with matching black paint aluminium front cap). All Parts of the set were delivered to to Tiranty, Paris, the M2 on 28.04.1960, the Summicron 50mm on 07.11.1960, the Summicron 35mm on 28.04.1960. All the parts were then sold to a single owner and kept together since. According to the previous owner the set was initially purchased by Henri Cartier-Bresson, it was then resold, because Bresson preferred to work with a 50mm lens on a M3. The essential quality of this set is that it includes all three original export certificates from Tiranty Paris! It is the first time we've seen such an extensive black paint set and this well documented!
