In 1973 the Leitz company in Wetzlar produced 5 prototype lens-heads of a 1:1.0 50mm with aspherical elements (numbers from 0001315-0001319). Both of these lens-heads come from this small series. Never been offered before and a historically very interesting further development of the legendary Noctilux 1.2/50. Because of high costs it never went into production. Later the company in Canada produced the Noctilux 1.0/50mm without aspherical elements (2). Includes a copy of the Leica sales book
