Kodak Framed Advertisement. c. 1917. The large 28 ½ x 21 ½" gelatine silver print depicting an American World War I soldier (Doughboy) putting a Vest Pocket Kodak Camera into his uniform’s vest pocket. with printed plaque in lower left corner “Kodak Negative, Eastman Royal Bromide Paper”. In stained oak frame with Kodak plaque on front and Eastman Kodak Company label on the back. (a few small processing stains around the edges of the print). The Vest Pocket Kodak was at the height of its popularity and many American soldiers took the camera with them to fight in Europe. Illustrated in "The History of Photography as seen through the Spira Collection", page 101
