Eastman Dry Plate & Film Co., for exposures 6 ½ x 8 ½ ", mahogany with brass fittings. Eastman's stripping "American Film" was first introduced in 1885 along with a series of different size roll holders to take this film. The production by Eastman and William H. Walker of the highly successful Eastman-Walker roll holder was an important step towards the development of the Kodak camera.
