An extremely early Canon Hansa from the very first small production batch, still retaining several features of the legendary Kwanon prototypes – such as the detent near the pop-up viewfinder, the distinctive shutter release, and the base plate with blind cap (originally intended for the rewind knob on the Kwanon camera). The lens mount bears the number 90, making it one of the earliest recorded examples, while the base plate is engraved 1090 (Peter Dechert notes 1119 as the lowest previously known number!). The camera is preserved in excellent condition and is offered with its matching early black-face Nikkor 3.5/50mm lens.
