Beautiful rare early rigid Summar, in very good condition, optics showing a few chips inside (painted in black to avoid undesired reflection) and marks on the front element, with SOOMP hood, both front and rear caps, delivered to retailer Porst, Nuremberg, on 23.12.1933, delivery records indicate that fewer than 2000 rigid-mount Summar lenses were produced. Beginning in 1934, Leitz also offered a factory conversion service that allowed owners to convert the rigid mount to a collapsible version—making surviving rigid examples especially scarce today.
