exquisite French stereo viewer for 225 cards or slides, the floor-mounted wooden body is 120cm high, with honey-coloured walnut inlay, ebony-stained slats and decorative brass applications. Aside from some minor chipping of the inlay on the hinged top plate which carries the mirror reflector, the viewer is in wonderful cosmetic condition. The belt driven mechanism works properly although a complete filling with glass plates might make it too heavy to be operated. A beautiful highlight for every collection dedicated to stereoscopy or fin de siècle living culture.
