An extremely rare prototype Summaron 3.5cm in Leica M bayonet mount, without a serial number and simply engraved “Nr.” in its place. The lens has a meter scale and differs in several details from the later production version, most notably in the design of the depth-of-field scale.
Preserved in mint condition, complete with both caps. An important transitional example illustrating the development of the Summaron 3.5cm for the Leica M system.
