prototype lens with different engraving style on front ring, from 1958 onwards Schneider-Kreuznach produced the 21mm Super-Angulon for Leitz. The successor of the f4 lens was the eight-element f3.4 lens, which was produced in chrome and black finish in bayonet-mount. At the 1980 Photokina Leitz introduced its own 21mm lens, the Elmarit f2.8. The offered lens is a prototype or sample by Schneider differing from the serial production models, with Schneider rear cap, hood and in near mint condition
