Very rare and interesting early Sonnar with black/nickel finish made in 1932, in original Contax mount, one of the first 300-400 ever produced, in almost mint condition, this lens originally had uncoated optics, at some point, probably in the second middle of the 1940s, it was sent back to the factory for additional coatings, you will note the red 'T' later engraved on the front ring, note also the very unusual aperture range, originally up to f:8, here upgraded to f:16, together with both caps.
