Interesting and very rare prototype in near mint condition, only about 60 to 80 lenses made after Zeiss decided to correct the name of the production model 2.8/80mm which was indeed a 84mm, this lens could open to f:2.8 but is intentionally stepped down to f:4 in order to avoid any excess of vignetting, the project was abandoned a few years later. Note the lack of distance scale.
