nice German lantern ‘Laterna magica No. 200’ produced by Jean Schoenner (Nuremberg) and branded for a retailer with the monogram ‘HD’, barrel-type body and detachable chimney made of black painted tinplate, on the front a label in form of a gilded Phoenix, on the hinged back golden lettering: ‘Laterna Magica’ and the monogram ‘HD’. The lantern is in very good original condition and comes with the maker's box in marblised paper and a set of ten boxed hand painted slides.
