A very rare black variant of the legendary Summilux-M 1.4/35mm 'Steel Rim', featuring the characteristic focusing lever with infinity lock and matching goggles finished in black paint.
The lens is preserved in excellent condition, showing only light and even signs of careful use. The optics are clean with no significant defects affecting performance.
Black-painted examples of the Steel Rim Summilux were produced in very limited numbers alongside the much more common chrome version and are today among the rarest and most desirable early Leica M lenses.
