This model is extremely rare, in beautiful condition and complete with 12 anamorphic discs, mechanism, original instructions and box. It uses 2 discs spinning at different speeds to recreate a fixed image from an anamorphic one. The patent date is 1829 (i.e. before the phenakistiscope). We only know of 3 examples in collections. There is a complete example in the Nekes collection and one in the Musée Royale in Gent.
