A prototype of the collapsible Elmar 9 cm for Leica M, originating from a small batch of approximately 50 lenses produced for testing purposes. The most prominent feature is the different design of the front of the lens. A similar example is illustrated in van Hasbroeck, Leica in Colour, p. 133. In excellent condition.
