A sought-after original Leica M2 in black-paint finish, from an official batch of 250 produced in 1960–61. In fine condition with an attractive, even patina. Accompanied by a black-paint Summicron 35 mm f/2 no. 1852191 with a matching black-paint front cap and 12585 hood. According to the delivery records, both the camera and the lens were supplied to Bob Schwalberg, an American photojournalist and Leica employee—the camera on July 14, 1963, and the lens on November 26, 1963. Notably, the famous black-paint Leica MP no. 2 sold in our 35th auction was also delivered to Mr. Schwalberg.
