Very rare, the 13th of only 427 Leica IIId ever made! The Leica IIId was the first Leica model with die-cast chassis and produced with a built-in self-timer, technical features that would later become a standard for many models to follow. The camera offered is in very good condition; it comes from an extremely early batch delivered to Berlin on 18.04.1941, together with Summitar 2/50mm no.559181, good optics only showing a light haze, with front lens cap and brown leather eveready case.
