Very rare – one of only 427 Leica IIId cameras ever produced. It was the first Leica model built on a die-cast chassis and the first to incorporate a built-in self-timer, technical innovations that would later become standard across many subsequent models.
The camera offered here is one of the very last examples made, delivered on 21 October 1944. It is preserved in excellent condition and comes with a Summitar 2/5cm no.524068, delivered on the same day. The set is in beautiful condition throughout and in good working order.
