A highly unusual and apparently pre-production version of the Konishiroku Hexanon 1.9/50mm in Leica M39 mount, bearing the extraordinary serial number XC3012. Regular production lenses are known with seven-digit serial numbers in the 312xxxx range, while this example also shows early construction details including the three-row milled barrel and fully engraved depth-of-field scale. The Hexanon 1.9/50mm was first shown as a development lens in 1954, shortly before regular production. An exceptionally rare early Japanese Leica-mount lens and very likely an experimental or pre-series example.
