classic French studio movie-camera from the estate of the late Austrian film producer Kurt Miksch. With this camera two sequels of the world famous “Sissi” trilogy have been shot: „Sissi“ (1955) and "Sissi – The young Empress" (1956) – both starring young Romy Schneider. The camera is in excellent original condition and comes with a hydraulic dolly labelled “Otopront”, a wooden container for the camera, 14 pcs 1000 feet film reels in 3 wooden boxes and a suitcase with 6 additional lenses. The lot also contains modern prints of two production shots showing the camera during the shooting of “Sissi”. The Super Parvo was one of Europe’s most popular professional studio cameras until the late 1960’s. The blimped sound-film model was introduced in 1933 and owes many technical details to the earlier Parvo L. Like all other professional Debrie cameras the film magazines are mounted parallel to the housing. The extremely accurate film movement features two pull down claws and two register pins as well as a moving film pressure frame. The Super Parvo Reflex was built from the early 1950’s and had a beam splitter prism to allow setting the focus during shooting.
