An extremely rare M3 version of the Summaron 2.8/35mm for military olive Leica M cameras, with the characteristic close-focusing goggles engraved “Bundeseigentum 12-130-0901”. Such military engravings on the goggles are particularly uncommon; a similar example is preserved in the Leica Archive collection.
According to the Leica delivery records, the lens was delivered on 25 October 1961 to the Marine Depot in Kiel. A highly uncommon and desirable Leica military lens, preserved in excellent condition.
