From 1958 onwards Schneider-Kreuznach produced the 21 mm Super-Angulon for Leitz. The 4/21 mm Super-Angulon, introduced in 1958, is a nine-glass construction in chrome finish and was available in screwmount and bayonet-mount. Its successor was the eight-element f3.4 lens, which was produced in chrome and black finish in bayonet-mount. At the 1980 Photokina Leitz introduced its own 21 mm lens, the Elmarit f2.8. The offered six lenses are prototypes or samples by Schneider, all differing from the serial production models, with Schneider rear caps and in perfect condition.
