Richard Verascope for Autochrome

second version of the extremely rare stereoscope especially designed to view 4.5x10.7cm Autochrome slides, with adjustable focus and eye base, the body is made of brass, browned steel and root wood. The main feature of this viewer are the prismatic oculars which mirror the horizontal directions. This is necessary since Autochrome slides are only sharp when viewed from the side reversed to the dyed starch-filter emulsion. The stereoscope is in perfect original condition and shows no signs of use. A centrepiece for every stereo collection!
