Leica Minilux prototype *

The Leica Minilux was the first model in Leica’s series of luxury compact cameras. The example offered here is an original and extremely rare prototype of the Minilux. The body and lens bear no Leica name, all external metal parts show visible machining marks, and there is no serial number. The Mode / EV / Self-Timer buttons are marked only with a transparent sticker. The camera is in very good working condition and represents a fascinating insight into Leica’s design process for one of its most successful compact models.
