A particularly rare late Leica M5, one of the final batch of only 20 cameras assembled in 1992, almost two decades after regular M5 production had ended. The cameras, numbered 1918001–1918020, were assembled to special order from remaining original parts and were finished in chrome. This remarkable final series represents the very last chapter in the history of the Leica M5, the innovative M model that introduced through-the-lens exposure metering to the Leica rangefinder system.
