Leica IIIc Grey 'E.förde'

extremely rare German Military camera engraved 'E.förde' with eagle and swastika on the top plate: The Torpedoversuchsanstalt Eckernförde was subordinate to the for troop services and in relation to front supply. In relation to torpedo development it was subordinate to the OKM/Twa. In February 1940 there was a massive re-organisation of the Versuchsanstalt. It was significantly increased in size and in October 1940 an Abteilung was set up in Gotenhafen and in 1942 an Abteilung in Neubrandenburg, the latter was also the Industrie-Versuch-Anstalt des OKM. The Abteilungen in Gotenhafen and Neubrandenburg belonged to the Torpedoversuchsanstalt (T.V.A.) but were technically subordinate to OKM directly. The Elmar 3.5/5cm no.584372 engraved 'M' (Marine)+ eagle and swastika - only one other camera with this engraving is known to exist, it is original and working condition with grey leather covering
