An exceptionally important early Leica, serial no.150, originally delivered on 29 January 1925 as a Leica I Mod. A with the fixed Anastigmat 3.5/50mm lens.
With serial production beginning at no.126, this is the 25th production Leica ever made. Factory records show that the camera returned to Leitz for repairs several times and was finally converted in 1958 to Leica IIIa Sync. specifications, retaining its original serial number.
The actual offered camera is illustrated in James L. Lager, Leica: An Illustrated History, Volume I – Cameras, p.167. A remarkable and well-documented survivor from the very beginning of Leica production.
