Leica IIIa 'Monté en Sarre' *

Very rare IIIa, assembled in the French-occupied zone of Germany (Saarland) and engraved on the top plate with 'Monté en Sarre', in original, almost mint condition, only one scratch on the top plate, the shutter curtains need attention, with matching coated Elmar 3.5/5cm no.749858, very good optics only showing few discrete cleaning marks, with front lens cap, only about 400 of these cameras were made between no.359001 to no.359500.
