An interesting piece of the history of photography from the 19th century - an original honour badge that court photographer Friedrich Schiller received from the Chief Steward of the Emperor of Austria. The badge is 88mm long, made of gold and silver, with old cut diamonds, with original fitted velvet presentation box and an original letter certifying Friedrich Schiller as Court Photographer (dated 22.07.1899). Also included in this lot is Friedrich Schillers Moralitätszeignis (clearance certificate) dated 19 October 1885, and an envelope with royal seals. Very interesting documents showing the importance of photography in its early days.
