a rare and very decorative coin-slot musical stereoscope produced by the famous Swiss maker of music boxes Henri Vidoudez. The stereo-cards are mounted on a conveyor, rotated one quarter-turn twice in each revolution of the musical cylinder via a sprung push-rod operated by a pin-wheel on the end of the cylinder arbor, in walnut case with ground-glass panel in lid, fixed-focus lenses, coin-drawer in base, three engraved plaques on the front: MUSIQUE AUTOMATIQUE POUR FAIRE JOUER METTEZ 10 CTS. HENRI VIDOUDEZ STE. Croix. The automaton has been professionally restored and is in perfect working order.
