Graphoscope “Exposition Universelle 1889” (various)
set of two matching graphoscopes sold on the occasion of the 1889 Worlds Fair in Paris, both made of wood with lacquer finish and decorative carving, (1) single lens, with the carved lettering "Exposition Universelle 1889", in absolutely mint condition, when closed 13x21x5cm, (2) stereo graphoscope, some wear, the wooden ring of one eyepiece is cracked, on the front carved lettering "Souvenir de l’Exposition", when closed 22x33x10cm. A series of five stereo cards of the 1889 exhibition come together with the viewers.
