In 1974/75, GOI developed the Zodiak-2 fisheye lens for the Soviet space program, featuring a 180° diagonal angle of view and covering 35mm full-frame without dark corners. It was designed for M42 screw mount cameras and produced in only a few units, never being released to the public. Just four years later, production was taken over by the Krasnogorsk factory (KMZ) near Moscow, continuing under the same name and specifications.
This original GOI version is extremely rare. It remains in beautiful condition, with excellent optics, making it a valuable piece of Soviet optical history.
