Until now a completely unknown prototype lens developed for the Soviet Soyuz 4 space mission launched on 14 January 1969. This unique telephoto lens features a compact, lightweight construction and internal focusing, the aperture is fixed. The generous focusing knob is located on the front of the lens to allow easier operation with spacesuit gloves. Optics only show slight flaws in the coating. It is one of the most unique Soviet optical constructions and one of the rarest lenses existing.
