beautiful Austrian large format slide projector mounted on an ebonized wooden board. The optical unit can be adjusted by sliding the wooden lens holder along two horizontally mounted brass tubes, in addition to this the 15cm brass projection lens is equipped with a rack and pinion focus, in front of the lens a hinged flap gate, between the lens and the wooden slide-holder a red leather bellow, the box-shaped light housing is made of pastel green painted tin plate and artfully decorated with hand painted leaves. The projector is operated with a Kryolir ethyl alcohol burner which is complete and exceptionally well preserved. The brass burner is labelled Langer & Comp. of Vienna and comes with the original illuminate and instructions. In addition to this perfect projector there are a large number of boxed 81/2x81/2cm and 81/2x10cm glass slides. Amongst them seven packages of vintage private photos including one vivid snapshot of the Austrian Emperor Franz Josef as well as two commercially sold series in their original boxes labelled: Elko Projektion Serie VIII: Von Triest nach Wien über die Tauernbahn and Elko Projektion Serie X: Winter und Wintersport, the first one with the accompanying text.
