rare stereoscope produced by Baird in Edinburgh, the eye base can be adjusted by a patented and unique flexible centre divider made of fabric, the cardholder slides on two tubular extension rods for focus, a brass tipped octagonal walnut handle threads into a crosspiece holding the lens assembly and the support for the view holder. Although the card holder has been replaced, this is still an interesting and collectable item. Andrew H. Baird produced photographic and other instruments and had premises in Lothian Road Edinburgh for many years until around 1937.
