A very interesting and probably unique Alpa Fisba prototype. The serial number on the camera body is missing, perhaps intentionally removed. The serial number no.48760, marked only on the back, officially refers to an Alpa Model 4b Omega, part of the Omega Photosprint device.
The camera is nevertheless very similar to the extremely rare Alpa 10 Fisba Retinal Fundus Camera, a specialized scientific instrument of which only five examples were reportedly produced in 1971 (nos. 48761–48765), with a fixed shutter speed of 1/60 sec.
The present prototype differs in several interesting details. Most notably, it has a conventional 24×36 mm film window, whereas the Alpa 10 Fisba features a distinctive round film window. Also noteworthy are the flat lens-release button, the camera is completed with chrome body cap.
