35mm SLR camera Prototype with Exakta mount

This is a competently made experimental camera with pentaprism finder that shows some resemblance to a post-war Exakta. The sturdy body is of trapezoid shape and was made partly from 2mm aluminum sheet metal and partly from components that were milled from the solid (aluminum and brass). Exakta-bayonet, no provision for an automatic or semi-automatic diaphragm. Vertically travelling aluminum focal plane shutter (consisting of two relatively thick shutter blades, inoperative), speeds 1 - 1/1000. Removable back (steel). Bright pentaprism finder with a housing that was milled from solid aluminum. Self timer next to the shutter speed dial, rapid advance lever, frame counter 0 - 18. Sync contact on front. Release button front left (as in an Exakta). It is hard to suggest where the camera might have been made, convincing similarities to other cameras are absent - the only hint to its origin is a ¼“ tripod thread (which suggests that the camera might have been made in Britain).
