selection of early English hand-coloured albumen prints, normal signs of ware, (1) nine cards dealing with love and marriage, three of them with the name of the photographer embossed (one by J. Elliott and two by A. Silvester), each card showing a well arranged and finely coloured szenario, the cards are self-explanatory titled "Declaration of Love", "Five Weeks after Marriage" and "Monsieur and Madame Pipelet", six annonymous and brightly coloured cards with titles like "The Convenience of Married Life" and "Rustic Courtship in Flanders", (2) two humorous cards, one entiteld "Crinoline Difficulties", the other one showing a mother and her son leaving the church with the corresponding joke printed on the back, (3) four beautiful cards by "The London Stereoscopic Company", three of them dealing with children and one showing a vivid scene at the horse races, (4) three single cards, one showing a young girl disguised as Red Riding Hood, the second one is entiteld "Reception and Profession of a Sister of Mercy" and the last one showing a mysterious dreamlike scenario.
