A rare Nikon S3 ‘Olympic’ in original black paint, from the special late reissue of the Nikon S3 introduced in the mid-1960s. Produced in approximately 2,000 examples, all in black paint, this version represents one of the most desirable later variants of the Nikon rangefinder system. Commonly associated with the so-called ‘Olympic’ Nikkor-S 1.4/5cm, the model combines the classic S3 design with the appeal of Nikon’s final rangefinder-era production. This example is offered in beautiful, near-mint condition and comes with a matching all-black Nikkor-S Auto 1.4/5cm no.140196 and hood.
