A very early Leica M3, distinguished by the characteristic corner at the front of the top plate, a feature found only on the earliest examples.
The camera retains the important early-production details, including the early casting type with Guss no.458, long strap lugs, absence of the “L” seal, early viewfinder and early back door. It is in very good condition, with some repaired areas to the vulcanite.
Included is an early collapsible Summicron 2/5cm no.1190414 in the meter-scale version.
According to the Leica delivery records, the camera was delivered to Manca, New York, on 12.03.1954.
