Prototype of a wide-angle lens from GOI, made for Kiev II cameras. Developed in 1948, and the first tests of the produced samples commenced in 1949. The lens resembles the Zeiss Biogon and the later Jupiter-12. However, the optical formula is entirely different, comprising 7 elements in 5 groups, and only a couple of samples of this optical design are known. The production lens, made by the Arsenal factory, had a maximum aperture of f/2.8 and was based on the Zeiss design. The offered lens is shown in the GOI construction book as Uran-26 with an optical formula OF-217. It comes with a matching wooden box and a set of three filters (also in box).
