Van Rees Freres Movie Camera

earlier model of the extremely rare Belgian 35mm hand-cranked movie camera, the box-shaped body with metal enforced edges is covered with red fabric, prominent winged makers label is mounted below the metal tube which covers the lens, on the right side a large portrait-orientated frame finder, all mechanical parts are clearly adapted from another professional camera and it evident that this camera is from a small handcrafted series. Very little is known about the Van Rees Brothers, their company or their cameras. Only two different models are documented, which are both offered in this auction.
