A very rare black variant of the legendary 'Steel Rim' Summilux 1.4/35mm, featuring the focusing lever with infinity lock as well as the goggles finished in black paint.
The lens is preserved in excellent condition, showing only slight, even signs of careful use, the optics are clean, with no significant defects affecting performance. It is supplied with the correct matching OLLUX lens hood.
Black examples of the Steel Rim Summilux were produced in very limited numbers alongside the more common chrome versions and are today regarded as among the rarest and most collectible vintage Leica M lenses.
