Matchbox Camera

Subminiature camera disguised as matchbox, negative format 6x5mm on a 12cm long film strip (darkroom loading). About half of the matchbox disguise (very well made from soldered sheet metal) is occupied by the camera, the other half contains (shortened, but genuine) matches. The lens (3.5/10mm, uncoated, probably a Tessar-type or a triplet, fixed focus) sits on one of the small ends behind a flap. The camera is operated by sliding the supposed matchbox open and closing it. Sliding it open reveals the lens by opening the flap and then immediately trips the shutter (lamellar type, only one exposure time). Closing the matchbox transports the film and cocks the shutter. To open the disguise first a small lever in the inside, that also activates the lens flap, has to be disengaged.
