Lager (ed.), Leica Illustrated History, Vol. III, 1998, p. 347, 348. Invented in the 1940s by W. Berssenbrugge, an expert in colour and stereo photography, the Leica Tandem TOWIN was originally made for stereo exposures. However, E. Leitz Inc. advertised it in 1949 for simultaneous exposures in black and white and colour photography. Extremely rare outfit with the original components, the case is probably unique. Erfunden in den 1940er Jahren von W. Berssenbrugge, einem Experten für Farb- und Stereofotografie, wurde das Leica Tandem TOWIN ursprünglich für Stereo Aufnahmen hergestellt. E. Leitz Inc. New York bewarb dieses jedoch 1949 für gleichzeitige Aufnahmen mit zwei Kameras in SW und Farbe. Oben eine Leica IIIc Nr. 516305 mit Elmar 3,5/5 cm Nr. 1090488, unten eine Leica IIIc Nr. 516579 mit Elmar 3,5/5 cm Nr. 1198739 mit speziellem Auslöse- und Aufzugsmechanismus, mit der passenden Tasche für die komplette Ausrüstung, siehe auch Lager III, Accessories, Seiten 347 und 348 – Extrem seltene Ausrüstung mit der Originalbestückung, von der Tasche ist kein weiteres Exemplar bekannt.
