In 2009, Leica Camera AG introduced a highly exclusive
limited edition camera set known as the Leica M7 Edition 'Hermès'. This release
followed the 'Leica MP Edition Hermès' from 2003, marking the second
collaboration between Leica and the renowned fashion brand, Hermès. The Leica
M7 Edition 'Hermès' is a strictly limited edition model, featuring a silver
chrome finish and a choice of two distinctive calfskin leather options—orange
and étoupe, both provided by Hermès. Only 100 units of each color were produced.
This unique camera set includes a silver anodized Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4
ASPH lens, complete with a matching classic vented lotus lens hood in silver
anodized metal, specially crafted for these models. Additionally, it features a
Leicavit M rapid winder in silver chrome and a leather carrying strap,
handcrafted by Hermès artisans to complement the camera's color. The offered
set is in nearly pristine condition and perfect working order. It consists of a Leica M7 camera with the serial number 3009640
and a Summilux-M lens with the serial number 4083290, but otherwise with original papers and accessories.
