Sought-after original black paint Leica M3 from the second official production batch (993501–993750), in fine condition and showing signs of professional use with an authentic patina acquired over the years, including tiny bubbles appearing in the paint, small dent near the frame counter window. Delivered to Cologne on 22nd February 1961.
Completed with a matching, highly desirable and rare Leica Summicron 2/50mm no. 1587381 with black paint brass mount (also delivered to Cologne, in 1962), in good condition with good optics showing only a few discrete cleaning marks on the front element, with front lens cap. Note the patina perfectly corresponding with the camera. Comes with an unnumbered camera maker’s box.
