An exceptional and highly desirable Leica M2 black paint in absolutely unused, New Old Stock condition, preserved together with its matching original box bearing the corresponding serial number, matching control tag, English instruction booklet and original outer wrapping (partially torn but still present).
The camera was delivered to Cattaneo, Italy, on 05.12.1961. Black paint M2 cameras were produced in comparatively small numbers and were primarily intended for professional use; as a result, the vast majority were heavily used in practice.
The offered example is preserved in truly outstanding, virtually untouched condition, showing no signs of use. The black lacquer finish is flawless, with no brassing or wear, and all components remain exactly as delivered. Complete, matching, and remarkably well preserved, this is without question one of the finest and most original examples we have encountered.
